  1. Tribute To My Father

The 25 years that we shared together were filled with lessons, victories, tests, trust, and a bond that even death cannot break. You are my hero and that will never change. I will always remember you as my yardstick for measuring greatness and I will still seek your counsel when faced with tough decisions. My world has suffered a huge loss, but we forge ahead with joy and gratitude in our hearts because we know you are in a better place and you are watching over us now. Every move that I make as a man from now on is dedicated to you and done in your honour. I promise to make you proud and to become the person you always believed I could become. Our family is in good hands because you married a leader and together, you both raised 4 other leaders. We will be there for each other just as you have always been there for us. We will never forget our roots just like you showed us. We will always look to God, just like you taught us.

Every moment we shared together will be cherished and your legacy will live on through us. If we could bring you back, we would do anything to achieve this; but God has a reason for doing what that He does. You will be missed by everyone daddy! You always said Anna was your angel, well, you are an angel to all of us now. Thank you for the type of life you shared with us. You did everything you could to make sure that we lacked nothing. Together with mummy, you equipped us with the right tools and mindset to conquer the world. I am proud to be your son and your friend. You are a great man and you have lived a fulfilled life. We love you daddy, and we know we will make you proud. Rest in Peace Legend.

  2. Tribute to my father…
Hi pops, I want to start by wishing you a safe trip home. Speaking in past terms when addressing you has been extremely hard, but I know God has a reason for everything. I miss you dearly and honestly words fail me as I am still trying to understand this turn of events. You were my mentor and all round a perfect father to me and my siblings.
One of the things I loved about you was how you never ran out of advice for us. I always joke to my siblings that we had the best of times whenever it’s just us and in actuality it was the truth. All those fun memories we have will stay with me forever. You always found a way to make sure anyone that crossed paths with you remembered the encounter.
My very rare gem and twin, we were more alike than we even realized. All I want is to make you super proud. I love you and will continue to love you.

It will be hard waking up and not seeing you or shouting “pops” like I usually do, but you married a strong woman and raised 4 strong children, so we got this. Thank you for all the lessons and love you showed to everyone and anyone. It definitely taught me a new approach to life and how to treat people. I indeed wish we had more time. There is so much I was yet to do, but I will do them in your honour and make you extremely proud. I love and miss you pops.
    Ka di Daddy❤️
    Forever in our hearts.

  3. Tribute to my Gold

Daddy, as I fondly calls you; it is very hard to write a tribute to you because I was actually thinking of a thanksgiving service. Life is indeed a mystery; I’m still trying to make sense of this.
Our trip to the hospital on the 16th of November was for you to get well, but it turned this way. What a world???

Our paths crossed 25 years ago and I am thankful to God that we met. You were every woman’s dream man, and it was 25 years of bliss: God bless the day we found ourselves. I am equally thankful to God for the number of years he loaned you to humanity
My teacher, my mentor, the priest of our home, my pastor, my friend, my adviser, my world, I MISS YOU.
Daddy, I can go on to cry and lament because my gold is taken from me but I choose not to; rather, I’ll focus on your endearing qualities and the legacies you’ve left behind. The man that can juggle all balls without dropping any, you never shield away from your responsibilities no matter how enormous; I will forever cherish the memories

Memories…….. that’s all that is left of a loving and caring husband; of a friend that listened to the end; of a selfless man who gave without reservation. Heaven has truly gained an Angel and I am happy I have a guardian angel.

Though you have left me to walk this road alone; I am comforted knowing you are in a better place. It grieved my heart to see you suffer in your last three weeks on earth, the memories keeps me awake every night; God knows when the tears will stop.

To have, to hold and to part is the greatest sorrow of my heart. But then, in this dark moment of grief, God whispers to me: Remember though his body slumber on earth, his soul is safe in heaven. This is my consolation.

Good Night my main man !
    Good Night my heartthrob !
Good Night my knight in shining armour
    Asiere ebe Usen ami.

  10. Dear Daddy and Friend,

You brought joy, happiness and laughter to all who met you; you will be sorely missed by everyone.

When a person becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.

Loss leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.

Time may pass and fade away but memories of you will always stay.

Many People come into our lives but only a few leave with their footprints on our hearts.

A person that departs on this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds – through us they live on.

You will Forever be remembered for your Selfless Service to God and to Mankind.

  11. TRIBUTE TO A ROLE MODEL

    Dear Jesus’ Little Lamb,
You were a Father, a Husband and a Friend. And that’s why we learned so much from you. That’s why we can learn from you still. In the arc of your life, we saw a man who earned his place through struggle and shrewdness, persistence and faith in God.

You stood as a Colossus and was a leading model to many youths in the society. Your voice was heard across the land and you were the rock that held most of the dreams of the youths in LCN OGOMBO and the entire LCN altogether. As a Father to many, your wise counsel and admonitions set the tone for remarkable accomplishments.

As part of your enduring legacy, you instituted many philanthropic gestures that will far outlive you and will keep putting smiles on the faces of many.

As you take this journey to the great beyond; you definitely etched your place in the sands of time. The annals of history will be incomplete without the mention of the name of this legend. You have proven beyond any shadow of doubt that a tree can single-handedly make a forest.

My late Father had very few friends, and you were one of them because of your impeccable character, the reason I reconnected with your family in Lagos.
Thank you for being such a faithful friend to my family, both immediate and extended. Thank you for all the support and kind assistance. Thank you for always reminding me to keep in touch more often. I always felt there was time, but alas, time is in God’s Hands alone.
This pain is real and the grief is sore, but we thank God for the impactful years you spent on earth ,and the strong family you raised for indeed they shall soldier on without you and make you proud.

  19. I worked with late Victor Udoh Inyang (VUI) as he was fondly called, for 8years in the defund Data Base Control Group (DBCG) in QIT Warehouse. I would describe VUI as embodiment of joy. There is no dull moment around him. He would always generate stuff that will make you laugh. He was also a workaholic; he did not play with his job, he will tell me FPA “let’s work.. because at the end of the year it is the job that will talk for you” He will not missed any moment to encourage you.. turning any challenging situation to an easy one. At this point, words are not enough describe him rather to pray for God to place him at the blossom of Abraham and to continually provide Devine protection and direction to his bereaved family. Adeu! a rare friend and colleague Late Akparawa (Elder) Victor Inyang. RIP. Our condolences go to the family.

  20. TRIBUTE TO MY ROLE MODEL

Writing this tribute is one of the hardest tasks I’ve been given. Nobody saw this coming but i believe God has his reason for everything. You taught us lessons that will always go with us throughout life.

I call you my role model because you possessed the attributes that i imagined myself having and thanks to you and mum, i can see myself heading in the right direction.
I always enjoyed our moments together; whether it was watching ball together or our one on one discussions. I always learnt something from you everyday.

You once told me that life won’t always be easy going, that there would be obstacles on the way but how we overcome the obstacles determines how strong we are. I took that with me everywhere i went.

I can only wish for things to go back to normal but its too late for that.
I know you’re in a better place, free from stress and pain.
We will continue to be one loving family like you always told us to be. We will continue to keep the family name as high as you left it and take it even higher.

  21. Sad, and really sad that we lost this fine specimen of a Gentleman. I cannot recall seeing a frown on his face, nor what anger looks like on him.
With a persistent smile, one wonders if he had any pains at all: the very reason his demise fits perfectly into the description of mysteries to some of us who only knew that nice version of him ( not that there was any other version though).
I will miss those morning chit chats before work resumes; those words of guidance; the scriptural references; and the wealth of experience on and off the job.
My family and I share in this grief and continue to pray for those, others, he left behind. May his soul fund that eternal rest in Chris Jesus.

The righteous perish and no one ponders it in his heart, Devout men are taken away and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil………..those who walk uprightly enter into peace. They find rest as they lie in death (Isaiah 57v1and 2)
“Akanaren” as we usually called ourselves, it is true that this world is not our home one day we will take a bow. The news of your death came to us just like a bad dream. It is still shocking and unbelievable that you have left us so suddenly. Barely two week’s after talking with you on the phone that the news of your demise came to us. It is very difficult to believe that you have gone to your creator. You were not just a friend but a brother to us and one with a difference. your death as created a big vacuum in our hearts and has made us understand that it is not how long people lived but how well. We wish you have lived a little longer to see your children grow and reap the fruit of your labour but God alone knows why he has chosen to call you home now, we cannot question him. The memories of your generous love to us will ever remain fresh in our hearts. We are only consoled that you are not dying but only transiting from this wicked world to be with your creator where there is no hatred, pains or sorrow and also that one day we will meet to part no more.
Sleep well our good friend/brother and may you rest in the blossom of your creator in peace.

  23. TRIBUTE TO MY LOVING FATHER
Words fail me to truly describe how I feel about this; to say I am devastated is an understatement. When I spoke to you last and we were discussing the plans for Christmas, never in a million years would I have imagined that that would be the last time i would hear your voice, the last time i would get those words of advice, the last time i would receive hugs from you.Oh, if only tears could bring back a person to life, then you would be right here with me; with us.
You taught us to always aim for the greatest level of success attainable, you believed in us,especially in me, even more than I believed in myself. You also taught us to be humble and never forget God. Your life was example enough with the way you were diligent about work, the way you cared about others and particularly, the way you cared about things of God. Thank you so much for being an angel on earth to us and everyone around you.
I cry because you are no longer with us physically and that hurts but I am certain that you are resting happily with the angels and that gives me joy. I cherish all the memories we had and will always hold them dear to my heart. I miss you main man. Rest in peace my hero.

They that trust in the Lord shall be like Mount Zion which cannot be moved but abides for ever.

Our dear Christian Brother and Friend, Elder Akparawa Victor Udo Inyang, it is sad that you left this world at a time nobody could envisage.

However, we are aware that “it is not how long one lives that matters but how well.”

It is difficult to forget your faithfulness, first in the Almighty God and in everything you put your hands into. You left behind a standard of good name, carved in humility, open-mindedness, diligence, fairness, genuine concern for other people and the things about the Church, and, the ability to strive to do things the right way, which CANNOT be bought with money. You were a role model to the people you came across in your life.

Going by what we saw in your Christian life, we can say with confidence that “you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race.” Henceforth, there is laid up for you a crown of righteousness in pure gold.
